Les,

That is one ingenious bench . . . with all the hallmarks of Les Hasting quality! It looks like you thought of everything.

Thanks for sharing.

We’ve missed you on here. We were just looking on-line at Wisconsin’s largest home (35,000 square feet), built in 1996, and resold recently (after being on the market for years) for a mere $2,700,000. We commented on how it needed a Les Hastings kitchen so it could have sold for a decent price. Its kitchen didn’t come close to the ones you have done.

That is just art Les. I love it.
What are the hinges?

The early bird gets the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.

One great piece of equipment.

Hey thanks everyone! The hinges are beech and aluminum with a 3/8" steel rod running threw it.

I'd rather be covered in sawdust

Your project posts are always a treat for the eyes. Another lovely piece.

A real beauty and an ingenious design. If I had made this I would probably put it in my living room instead of abusing it in my shop.

Madts, sorry missed your question about the hinges somehow. They are just wood knuckles with aluminum plates for strength and a 3/8" steel rod through it.
Thanks

I'd rather be covered in sawdust

Les,

That is incredible work!

You know, it really ticks me off when guys like you post pictures of workbenches and other shop projects that look better than anything I've ever made for decorative purposes. :-) That's really beautiful!
WOW now that is a lot of firepower in a small package. Well done.
That's not a work bench that's a piece of fine furniture. Amazing work
Holy cow, that’s awesome!
