Celtic Knot Pendant

This is a Celtic knot that was published by Dave Western in the Sept/Oct 2019 issue of Woodcarving magazine. Modifications are more rounded ends and I won't be using the screw eyes and wire ends. It will be tied through the outermost loops- that's how the wife wants it, and it's hers, for her birthday, last month. Mahogany with satin shellac. She wanted it shiny, that's what she got. I'd've made it less glossy, myself.

It was really tedious drilling all the holes and having to detach the scroll saw blade and reattach it so many times. Probably won't make any more pierced carvings.

Lots of cutting, but it turned out great. Well done.

Main Street to the Mountains

Looks awesome! I can imagine how tedious the cutting was though!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Thanks, folks! I wouldn't mind doing another that wasn't pierced.

Nice scroll DK. Now I'm gonna have to go buy a soft pretzel tomorrow. :-)

I love a good Celtic knot, almost as much as twisty bread.
 I like the details!

No name noobie here

Thanks, folks!

Impressive carving! I get the feeling that this isn't very big...
Wow that's a great knot carving Dark. I know what a challenge it is to carve these. I just carved one.
