One more from over there.
This one taught me a lot. This box is 3 compartments stacked on each other. The bottom of one section is the top for the section below. Maybe it's a box sitting on 2 trays.

This is the top section. It opens by taking off the bottom to reveal the hidden compartment.

The bottom of the top is held on with rare earth magnets.

Here is the middle section sitting on the bottom section.

And the bottom of the middle.

And the bottom section.

The bottom of the bottom has feet.

I didn't know what type of wood I used when I built it. The body is padauk, and the center section is wenge. The white wood is aspen and the dark keys are my momma's old bookcase from many years ago.

The brass pins are functional as well as decoration.

I tried something new . All the pieces were first cut at 90 degrees, the 45's were cut after on the router table. It worked well. These here had pieces taped on to prevent tearout.

real cool hairy.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

That is neat Hairy, I like the hidden compartment under the top section, and the sides of the middle are interesting. You are thinking outside the box with the designs. Well done.

I like that! He walked away when he was on top of his game. Too bad for us.

Neat idea!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Hey very cool indeed.  I really like how the theme disguises the truth.  Great wood choices and the brass elements has it popping!

I remember this one, Hairy.  Again, super cool.

A lot of parts on this box. Nice work
You squeezed a few unique ideas into this project hairy...

You must have made this box a very long time ago... when $1

was not litter on the footpath.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Hahahaha, ...so cool and fun box,,,great!

...woodicted

Nice build. I haven’t seen it before. This maybe a stupid question, but does it play.

Splinter the second guy in hell that will receive an accordion is smiling. Maybe it’s Hairy?

This maybe a stupid question, but does it play.

Now that would be cool!

 Maybe it’s Hairy?
