Mesquite Natural Edge Frame for Dot Painting

This is a frame I thought would be fitting-  made from Arizona desert wood for a Dot painting created in the Outback of Australia. I just found this painting, that we bought from the artist in Australia, in a tube in my shop that has been there of over 10 years. It  was painted by an Aboriginal lady named Audrey Nungarrai and the title is  "Men Singing for the Rain"
The last photo is my wife and I with Audrey in Alice Springs in the Outback of Australia.
The painting is  13" x 14" and the frame is finished with clear satin lacquer.

Cheers, Jim

Nice, Jim! The art deserves a frame.

May you have the day you deserve!

Very fitting!

I like that piece. I think the Men are singing AND Dancing. Perfect frame for it, and nicely done.

I also have art in tubes that need frames, another thing I need to get after.
The "wiggle" in the frame is perfect for that art. 👍
Fram fits the art work in all ways, nicely done.

Nice frame and picture. The story with the artist makes it more interesting. Great job.
Nice frame, using the natural edge of the wood to accent the frame is perfect. Great thinking outside the box.. 👍👍
May mean nothing to the Yanks... but Aussies would appreciate,

that's the equivalent of,

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

The frame is an excellent match for the artwork. Nice!
Thank you all for the nice comments.

Nope... blue bottle (ants) infestation.

... Do the ants bite your feet??

Nah, they respect me... I wear ripple soled thongs to give them a 50-50 chance.
