BEERBQ SWAP 2024

ok well for this years swap i got a little carried away with the size of mine. my recipient was keebler. i decided to make a bbq caddy that would hold every thing youd need for grilling. on top is a place to hold a jar of ketchup, relish and mustard. also 4 jars of kinders spice blends. under that is a paper towel holder with a space for napkins next to that. on the right side are two cups to hold forks and knives. on the back side is a paper plate holder. on the left is a bottle opener with a cup to catch the caps.
the caddy is made from mahogany. everything black is oak that was burned shou sugi ban technique. that came about after watching my friend rick do various experiments with it. the handle is wrapped with paracord. the finish is 3 coats of arm r seal satin. rubber bumpers on the bottom.
as a bonus i included 4 cedar plans with a lasered design. also gave him a bottle opener made from kingwood. threw in a box of masks and one of our company t shirts. the beers came from a local micro brewery called SMOG CITY.  also included a couple from firestone brewing a west coat brewery owned by members of the firestone family. it's one of my fav's.
here are a few more pic's and build pic's.
comments or suggestions are always welcome.

With 35lbs loaded, you should have added a cart with wheels to move it around.😉

Is the paracord recessed?... if yes, how... if no, why knot?

How the hell did you keep the glue of the accoutrements,

or were they sacrificial stunt doubles?

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

yes the paracord is recessed ! it's very simple ducks i just ground down enough to make the cord level with the wood. i know what you want, me to teach others what i do ? im no teacher, i do what i do for me. those that want lessons need to sign up and pay  a class fee ! i come i show what i do then i leave ducks ! your very good teaching what you do, im not, nor will i ever be. the pic you show was a mock up what i wanted to do. and no condiments were harmed in the process !!!!😁

Here’s a pretty good way to do paracord wrapping…
