Rounded Box Finger Joints
I'm getting ready to do a project and thinking about using radiused or rounded Box Finger Joints.
What do you think about the look of them?

Has a bit of a dovetail look to it
do it man, i love that look and have done it myself. as ive said before, i round over everything. i dont like sharp edges !

You're right. I posted the wrong one. It is a radiused dovetail. But the radius does look good and likely would on the box finger joints too.
Pottz....I think radiusing would look good on finger joints. I agree. LOL.
i was gonna reference a project i did with that look, but when i looked, it was a dovetail also !

Matters not whether it is a dovetail or box joint, when rounded off it looks perfectly fine. It really comes down to liking square corners or round corners on a box. From my perspective, I like round corners, unless the box is meant to be formal - like a presentation or award box.
Good point Oldtool. Rounded corners lend an elegance to the appearance. For sure it has its place and isn't for everything.
