3D Threaded "Boxes".

Boys and Girls,

This’ll blow your sox off…
not cause it’s a revolutionary post, but because I’ve little to say.

Back in the days when I was churning out pens twice as fast as I could make pens, I experimented with various boxes for them.
One of my brain wave’s
brain wave, was to create a threaded box.  Had issues with threads in the timber and by the time I realised it was a futile exercise, I only succeeded in a useless open ended (mind you it was in end grain), test piece,
Scrapped the idea and eventually settled on 3D printed inserts (gallery pictures) into whatever scraps of timber I found laying around.

Was a good seller until I discovered it was just used for customers’ illicit stash… and maybe a “charger” or two… if you’ve read Papillon, you’d know what I mean... there was a time when I knew how to read.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Just thinkin' here, but you could attach a pocket clip to the side so one could have it handy for the times one needs to whip out a pen for signing!
Much smarter than my glass jars to make a threaded box. This is the right way to do what I was trying to do. Duh!

Thanks guys...

and a nib on the end so I wouldn't have to take it out of the box.

awsum, personally I prefer the grass in your boxes, non porous and can store liquids... much better choice.
