Greene and Greene Style Ceiling Light

This project was on my bucket list for a long time. I posted it on other web sites. The stained glass design is based on my memories of red winged blackbirds I saw in marshes and ponds while  growing up in Pennsylvania.
It’s been installed for some time, and the patina is darkening nicely.

That is beautiful.

How are the support cross beams attached to the ceiling plate?  Not knowing is making me nervous.  😉

Thanks LazyMan. The hardware that hangs the light has is held together with hollow bolts with hooks. A hollow bolts go through the wood into the hooks. Then that hollow bolts are attached with nuts. The bottom of the light is screwed to the top of the light from the top. I added some photos. The red circle shows the screw heads that hold the part of the light to the bottom. I hope that makes sense.
Here’s some of the hardware I had left over from the kit I bought. None of the hooks were left.

Gorgeous light. Wood and glass work are superb
Thanks PeakPlane.

LazyMan. Sorry I misunderstood your question. The cross beams are held in place from screws, screwed down through the top plate and screwed into the cross beams. I can’t remember if I also used glue.

James McIntyre

Thanks.  I am less nervous now.  😀
