Memorial Planter

I received the order for this planter Sunday night and it had to be ready for Thursday morning. Shawne originally wanted the photo to be laser engraved on the front of the planter but it just did not come our distinct enough so I talked her into an oval frame with a color photo. The size of the planter was to be determined by the plastic insert and I did not find out until Tuesday morning that she could not find an insert so we went with this size of 10" x 6 1/4" ( according to my Fibonacci gauge) x 6" high in the front. The back and sides are 5" high . The oval frame is 5/16"  thick and has 2 blind dowels for positive location . It is made from cherry with maple splines and finished with satin lacquer. Shawne sprayed the inside with a waterproof coating.   I also made 2 crosses with her name on them- one is in the planter
Abigail was only 22 yrs old and a victim of suicide.

A nice tribute during a rough time, to be sure. Nicely done.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

It's a shame Abigail didn't seek help, maybe this could have been avoided. This is a nice memorial, great work Jim.
yeah good point OT ! did no one see it coming ?  but then, did anyone think ann burrell of food network fame would say, bye ! sometimes we just dont see it coming, and those that do dont let us know !!!!!!!

at the company i worked for we had a truck driver who was into the dark side, goth clubs and life style, if you even know what im talking about. in the mornings we'd say, hey casey how is it going. he'd just say, another f!@Cked up day. i guess he meant it because he used a shot gun and ended his life !!!!!!! the whole company was in shock ! very sad people get to that point, but many dont reach out for help. watch for the signs, and dont be afraid to ask questions like many at our company should have ?

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
