Business Card Holder

I made this card holder for a  local produce farmer. When I visited his stand and asked for a card with his number on it, he pulled out a box full of them and said he was going to buy a plastic holder to put on the counter ( most likely made in China) so I told hm I'd make him one .

This one is made from some scraps of 1/4" mahogany and coated with clear satin enamel!

Cute little box. And yes, way better than plastic!

Very stylish! The finger opening is a nice feature.
Very nice crib for the cards

I like it Jim !!!!! Love the way you made it as a stand with little legs. It sort of reminds me of a rocking cradle. Simple yet elegant.
Much nicer. And much more appropriate for a boutique farm stand.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Nicely done! Hopefully he threw in some extra veggies in return. 🫑🥕🥔🥒🍆🍅
Looks great Jim, very stylish!
Don't bash the plastic, some fanatics here will want to print them "just because" and they will be plastic!
Realy classy and unique, kind of antique.

Very nice Jim, a handy gift for a lot of applications. This would make a great gift holder for a gift card. Obviously, it's good for anyone who has business cards, and (maybe with some dimensional changes) it'd be great to give to anyone who plays a lot of cards - even poker enthusiasts, with a matching chip holder.
Thanks  you all for the nice comments on this holder. I'll be taking it to him tomorrow.

Hi Steve I put that back slot in this one because, on the others I have made, it was difficult to get behind the cards. This solves that !

Hi Barbara..this is kind of a  "pay it forward" gift. I like to support him- he is a hard worker!!...and his name is also Jim !!

Hi Tom. I do make a lot of different card holders and lots of spinning carousels!!!

But you should have compromised... no, not made of china, but perspex.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Hi Alex, wood is better to work with than plastic sheet....................and I have a room full of it!!!

Nice little example of how much nicer wood can be than plastic, Jim.

May you have the day you deserve!
