I  made this for some friends who had a  really bad one in a  bad location. It was the least I could do. It only took a couple hours to build it.

It is made from red oak and finished with satin enamel!
cheers, Jim

Nice Jim!  Always good to help friends.

I remember needing one at our house. Had gone to buy one and as I was looking at the store, I thought I should save the money and build one. Joked that it only took couple thousand dollars of tools (used my table saw, bandsaw, router, etc) to save ten dollars!
Nice one Jim, sturdy with good looking appearance and should last a long time.

An empty holder... Is that a tribute to the COVID shortages or the tariffs hindering Chinese imports??

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Good replacement Jim!

Hi Jim. It looks great. I like the way it’s assembled. You took the time to use dowels. You reminded me of a project I posted elsewhere so I posted it on this site.
