I've made a few dozen signs over the years using sets of cursive alphabets I purchased in the 1990's...
I would write them myself but my Penmanship is worse than a Doctor's!
I had a thought, that if someone wanted a really custom sign, they could write their own and the sign would be in their own handwriting...
That thought, led to thinking about copying a famous person's handwriting? Or Signature??
Mr. Lincoln was the first person who came to mind, and it took about two minutes to find and print a workable pattern from a Google search...
I may do this again! After searching numerous Founding Fathers, it was discovered they all had beautiful penmanship... It seems that the further back you go, the better people's handwriting was!
The lettering was cut from some dark Poplar (I think) and the backerboard is Some Yellow Birch I found washed up on the Beach back in the Fall of 2013...
Finish was three coats of "Rattle Can" Polyurethane...
Another quick and fun project...
Anyway, Thanks for your time!
