Dining table

I made this table from two tables I bought at the recycling center (see photo of trolley).

Made of European oak. The diameter of the tabletop is 116 cm, and it has a thickness of 36 mm. The two tables I bought at the recycling center were 6 cm thick and constructed from three layers. During processing, I discovered that they were unfortunately both hollow (the intermediate layer was only applied to the edge). That meant extra gluing work to make the new one. The legs are painted black and the tabletop has an Osmo finish. I found the Osmo layers used to be difficult to work with.

By the way, I didn't make the chairs!! 😊

Thanks for watching.

Excellent workmanship Jan, especially recycling and overcoming issues along the way. This one will last years of functional use.

Well done Jan you are not just a model maker/designer.
Lovely table, well done getting it all to work despite the hollow core.
I find the leg design interesting, what lead you to this construction?

Stolen. I saw it somewhere else, and both my wife and I thought it fit the table we are making perfectly.
