Spalted maple + walnut clasp/hinges
Spalted maple with hand-crafted walnut clasp and hinges. The box measures 6” x 5” x 2” and the hinges are 1 1/2” x 1” x 3/16” and the clasp is 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”. Time in the hinges and clasp is about 3 1/2 hours and it was tedious at best. Finished it with 3 coats of wax, wet sanded each one and then buffed it. Have partially finished the inside and may leave as is. Will have to see. Thanks for the looks and comments.
Use it up, wear it out---Make it do, or do without.
