Sweet Dreams

Ok, I didn’t actually use a needle for this but there is cloth involved, so …. give me grace :)

I created a dozen of these pillow cases ? as gifts for my business peeps, recognizing the effort that they put in to helping others on their wellness journeys. ?‍?‍?‍??‍?‍?‍??‍?

THE PILLOW
I will admit that I sought out the cheapest, white pillow cases that I could find through Amazon and was thrilled with the softness of the cases AND the price! ? I thought I had bought twelve but it was twelves sets, so that was a super deal!!

I then designed the wording: “ Sweet Dreams Are Made Of Gold” (using the app “over”). [“Gold” is one of the achievement ranks with the company.] ?

Next, I cut the design out, on vinyl, using the Cricut machine, making sure that I reversed the image!!?

Next step was screen printing. ?
I taped the vinyl to the back of the screen and, then, for the dozen pillowcases, screen-printed with the black and the gold fabric paint. (I discovered the screenprinting technique from, was inspired by, and learned from PigskinandPigtails)

I let them dry over night and then gave them a heat press to make them washable.

ENVISIONING & MANIFESTING
When I had the idea for this, I just thought it was cute, but what I found was that every night, as I lay my head down on the pillow, I see the words, read the words, and envision connecting with and helping others with their wellness journey, getting toxins out and nature in, body/mind/spirit! ? What a way to wrap up the day and move into sleep and the dream world! ?

Anna

Thanks, Anna.
I always thought screen printing was some super complicated and amazing process. Never thought I’d be able to do it, but, with the vinyl, it is so easy
