This Krenov-inspired cherry wall cabinet incorporates a spalted maple door panel as its focal point. The wall cabinet is a one-off. I used mostly hand tool techniques and processes to create this piece as it was an exercise in slowing down and appreciating the process as much as the end result. The Spalted Maple door panel was closely selected from a larger board to feature as much interesting figure as possible. The door panel also incorporates some curl which was unexpected. The unique door pulls are designed to maximize drawer depth while allowing the inset door to close. Offset knife hinges are used. Photos are just before light applications of super blonde shellac.

You really chose a nice piece of spalting to show off in that door! Great looking cabinet and super workmanship.
