Found this humorous on the Internet but I have this guy beat. Lol

I have a few more then that as well. Local ace had 6" Jorgensen’s on sale for 5.00 with the new handle, I honestly meant to stop at a dozen. But I just had to do a long veneer glue up and 20 clamps later I actually had enough, now I just need more longer as well.

I was rolling the gas grill out the shop back door & noticed the weld had broken loose on one of the legs.
It has a C Clamp on it until I get around to fixing it.
I noticed I have a few clamps around the shop like that.

You can never, ever have too many clamps !!!!

“You can never have too many clamps”, “No matter what you go to the hardware store to buy, purchase two clamps while you are their”, “However many clamps you think you need, double it”. These are words my father mumbles whenever he comes into the workshop. The sayings were repeated from my uncle John who was a woodworker for 80 years with a huge workshop and massive clientele. He had hundreds of clamps in his shop, I think over 500, and still he would say "you can never have too many clamps.

It’s true! And it’s easy to run out of clamps. I finally glued up that amp head I’ve been working on. I’ll blog about that later but I ran into some issues and I ran out of clamps. I started grabbing every one I had.

You really can never have too many clamps. In fact, I have to run over to harbour freight this morning for some air hose parts. I think I’ll pick up a few more clamps while I’m there.

Losing fingers since 1969

I glued up a skinny little panel today. It was about three feet by 8 inches, took nine clamps.
Always surprised by the number required.
