Murphy Bed Wall Unit #3: Small Delay

Got a rush job to build Approx. 45’ of painted display cases for a convention in New York. I only have 2 weeks to get it done. The units will all be painted white. The color is just to show the sections. (Drawing is from the designer.)

Will get back on the Murphy Bed soon.

I’m really glad I don’t have to make a living as a woodworker. With the rate I work at your NY job would take me two years instead of two weeks. Waiting for the Murphy bed finish will give us something to look forward to.

That’s a big job for a 2 week lead time. I hope you priced it accordingly!

Two weeks isn’t much of a heads up! At least it looks like most of the displays are identical, so you have that going for you. Good luck!

WOW! I HATE painting! I’m terrible at it, and it takes me FOREVER! I’d never be able to pull that one off! My hat is off to you sir! Congrats on landing the job though!

Dang Bently!

You make me want to come out of retirement and help ya! Sounds like a pretty tight schedule; one week for build and one week to finish, will you have anyone helping or is this a one man gig?

Good luck and look forward to seeing some pictures of this one too.

Thanks All,
moment, I actually wish I was going but I’m just putting them on a truck and saying goodbye.
Lanwater, Funny is, don’t know if it looks like Manhattan but, they are going to Manhattan.
Mike, I look forward to the days when it will take me 2 years :)
Brian, MonteJ, David, Thanks, What fun is it if there is no challenge. :)
Huff, Wish you were here…I have one of my employees from the past that worked for me for about 9 years. He has been helping me when I need him. I’m planning 6 days to build and 4 days to paint. Any time over the weekend will be bonus time. Should be no problem.

Not sure how picture worthy this is but I’ll try to get some anyway.

Thanks You All!
