Next on my worklist is the "schroefbak". It's the part where the screw is placed in.
On the drawing this is made of concrete.
On the drawing this is made of concrete.
The mill is probably built with a wooden "schroefbak" but when that was rotted away it is replaced with the concrete one. which was done a lot.
But I don't want to use concrete in my model so I will make one out of wood.
I start with the frames
Making the mortis and tenons
Making the rounded frame parts
Fitting the parts together
Aligning the frames
Gluing the "planks"
All planks in place
Testing in place
Detail of the bearing surface
Adding some decking
