Boys and Girls,

These type of folding hinges,

seem to be a popular addition in workshops for outfeed tables
inside/outside shelf support,
and for jigs and many diversified uses I can barely imagine.

Depending on your setup, sometimes the release mechanism is a tad hard to reach if located under the table away from the sides,
though here, one of mine was close to the edge,

If you prefer to not get a bang on the head when crawling on all fours under the table and looking for an additional twos to release the mechanism and not too particular to defacing your tabletop (assuming it’s not already perforated), two discreetly placed holes can provide tabletop access to the mechanism,

Naturally I haven’t plugged my holes, however, if using for other purposes, it may be prudent to make up discs similar to these,
to prevent items from falling through the holes, or just use some masking tape,
and if your fussy, colour co-ordinate,

This a quick dirt video in my newly washed bluey,

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Nicely done ducky! Now if only I had room for an outfeed table…😢

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Hadn't seen those before, thanks for showing.   Mike
Nice tip.

Main Street to the Mountains

I have a set similar to these in our RV. Works great. I bought a second set of hinges and couldn't find them for YEARS, They just turned up when I did a deep clean of the shop.
