Another Open Segmented Turning

The bottom and the thin pieces are walnut, I'm not sure what the other wood is, but it really turns nicely. The vessel measures 6x6 and is made with 147 pieces.

First word that comes to mind is "crisp", that looks great John!

One of the nicest ones I have seen. Clean and simple design.
I haven't done segmented turnings for many years but this one may prompt me to do some.

147 pieces... Wow, every time I make something out of more than 1 piece, I'm bound to misplace at least 1... and only find it after the glue-up has set.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Thanks to everyone for such nice comments, I really like the shape of this for some reason. I'm going to try some more advanced turnings with different sized segments.
