Pegs and Jokers Game Board and Storage Box

This is a game that was ordered by a lady in the park. The attachment method was copied from the one she showed me  in a photo. I designed the layout and the box. The pegs are self storing with each board of the corresponding color.

The boards are made from 5/8" maple plywood and the  box is made from some scraps I found in the shop that were planed to 3/8" The box was made by gluing all six pieces together with mitered corners and then the contour was cut on the bandsaw.

The pegs are welding studs from Harbor Freight with plastic beads epoxied on. All pieces are finished with Cherry Danish oil and clear satin enamel spray.

Neat game Jim, like the adaptable player "frame" and of course your storage solution is always A+!
That’s cool!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Never heard of the game but looks interesting.  Nicely done!

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Looks like a neat game, well designed and made.  Where can I find out about the game.  My daughter's family play a lot of games.  Got it,  hummm  the may enjoy that but they are only a family of three.  Rules say four players.
Nicely done Jim, great storage idea for the boards, a place for them and the cards.

Nice job on this! Some friends have one they purchased - this is better - especially the storage solution>

Neat board and box JJ.  Like many I've never heard of it but being a puzzle and game convert I was interested.

..... Where can I find out about the game.

Sounds interesting... I've now just need to make at least 1 friend to play with.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Very cool! I learned something new today.

Nice work on this game, interesting use of welding accessories in a all wood game.
Nicely done Jim.  I'll have to remember this next time I want to make a game for the grandkids.  Welding studs and plastic beads is some creative thinking!
Nice job Jim.  Got several friends here in AZ that play Pegs & Jokers.  Good storage solution esp the pegs.

Great work Jim...Nicely Done!!!!

Regards......Cliff.
Jim,

Looking again noticed that you built the entire box and then cut the lid off with a bandsaw.  Nice to allow the grain to flow through the joint.
