First Photo Frame

Have a bunch of frames to make for relation and friends, so I thought I better get started. I have two jigs that I used to help me on this, one bought, and one home made. They are in my Reviews and in my Projects page. This one is 8X10 inches made out of Maple with Blk. Walnut for the splines. I didn't need too but decided to hide the back with the dust cover for practice. Used a saw tooth hanger and two little rubber bumpers on the bottom corners to protect walls. The jig for 90-degree corners worked like a charm, the glue up was perfect. I used the Merle Band Clamps for this. I used a Poly finish on this, buffed between coats, with four coats total. Finished it by buffing lightly with 0000 steel wool with wax. I figure this would be a way to use up a lot of scrap wood that I have that aren't big enough for other projects.

Nice picture of you '52, but who's the bloke holding you up?

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
