Canes for a new friend

I was entering the door to the cancer center for a chemo treatment 3 weeks ago.  Behind me was an older gentleman who was using an old piece of rusty iron for a cane.  Short version we talked, he has cancer also, so I ask him if I could make  him a couple of canes.  We exchanged numbers and I made him a walking stick and a cane on short order.  Nothing fancy but he was well pleased with both.  The stick is oak and the cane is cherry.  Thanks for looking.

Great gifts!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

I can't think of a better way to share your skills. Nice!
They look great Jack. Kudos for helping him. "Kindness doesn't cost two cents but pays great dividends"
That's a great quote MrRick!
Those gifts are special....helping someone with cancer is good.....not only will it help them with their moving around but the idea that someone did it for boosts the outlook a lot.     You did great, helped you too I bet.

You guys are too much.  Talking about good hearts, thank you all for the kind words.  When I gave them to him I know I seen a couple little tears and he hugged me.  If I told the truth my eye sight got a little foggy also.  Many thanks.
