Art Deco Style Jewelry Cabinet

Finally after 18 months since my design drawing of the Art Deco style Jewelry cabinet, it is completed. This was the most fun I've ever had making a piece of furniture. The hidden door can only be opened by pulling out the top middle drawer. It sure does feel good to be done. Thank you for looking!

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

The phrase "Work of art" somehow seems inadequate. "Masterpiece" falls a bit short as well.

"Speechless" is about right
I'd call it a "Work of Dennis", heavy on detail and design to bring in something as a whole that is greater than the parts.

Certainly watch your footing and not trip when delivering that!
I'll echo Pottz's comment.
I’m so glad we have members as talented as you Dennis. Your are by far one of the most skilled workers I have ever seen. And the photography is great too.

Congrats, an amazing furniture piece! So much attention to detail and elements to look at in one piece.

As usual your work is spectacular. I will say 18 months isn't a bad time frame considering the detail in it.
I'm speechless, and Pottz's comment fits me to a T.
The exacting detail is phenomenal and out of this world, you have just raised the bar for the rest of us until it is out of reach. A thumbs up here seems inappropriate, would be like giving a thumbs up to Leonardo da Vinci for the Mona Lisa.
Fantastic, just Fantastic.

That is spectacular... that last picture of the inlays. even down under is,

and I can fully appreciate your,
 It sure does feel good...
however,  I question your sanity... unless you're a masochist,  how can you say,
"This was the most fun I've ever had making a piece of furniture."
I can barely imagine some of the frustrations, challenges and stumbles you came across in those 18 months...

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Stunningly beautiful!

Norman, Thank you, the more the details the crazier the craftsman. lol
Corelz125, Thank you, for 3 months of that time I was making other things, so really only 15 months on all my spare time.
Old Tool, Thank you for an awesome complement, I very much appreciate it. I don't know if I'm worth that high of a praise, but it is nice to hear.
LitleBlabkDuck, O yes thats me I enjoy complicated woodworking that takes me forever. I love it when I get lost into a project and forget about the crazy world. Thank you, Sir. Much appreciated.

15 months in your spare time is very impressive. It could take some people 15 months working on it full time.
Wow!  I hope it gets used a lot before it goes to a museum.

Hey, you don't know me, but you don't like me ... Buck Owens

Question I have is what's next for an encore?
Going to be difficult to meet, let alone surpass!
Corelz125, Yes, it would have been more fun to work on it full time. Also would have been faster like only a 6 month project.
MikeB_UK, Thank you!
hairy, Both of them would be nice. Thank you.
SplinterGroup, I agree it's like writing a song. For me, I have to really push myself in the designing side of things. When I'd rather be in the shop making saw dust. This one will be a hard one to improve on. Dang what did I do to myself? lol

Amazing work Dennis. How do you keep the black sawdust out of the pores in the lighter wood. I always struggle with that and it looks like you have the solution.
