This mirror contains the "Square Dance" kumiko project I posted awhile back. Mahogany frame, plexiglas sheet on the front, mirror in the back. The plexi is to keep dust out. Nothing fancy, just a sandwich of materials.
Edit to add: I bought the basswood from National Balsa. It was mostly to size, but took a few passes to get them all the same. The notches for the interlocking pieces were made with my flat top rip blade. The basswood was sanded to the same width as the blade.
Thanks, guys. I was originally going to use this for the door of a medicine chest, thus the mirror. And I got tired of the kumiko piece laying around collecting dust.
Wowie! Yes I agree with all the comments. Being single again I appreciate the amount of wood dust generated primarily from building "things" the the secondary problem it causes especially in my street (home) as just about all the individual homes are demolished and multi dewellings (would you) believe 3 homes are now 24 plus units. and the clearing of land to squeeze in even more.
Next doors yard, as it was
And now across the road as it was

Def needed a maid to help with cleaning the dust !
It's nice to have vegetation around instead of a multitude of neighbors. We're getting denser around here too, with what are called "Auxiliary Dwelling Units"- building another dwelling either in what was the garage or in the back yard. Our city didn't want this- it makes for crowding- but the state legislated it in. I'm the biggest dust maker on my block, but I keep it in the garage "shop".
