Wrap-around Rosewood sides, Curly Maple top and bottom panels, it measured in at 9 3/4″ × 6 3/4 × 4 1/4"…
Hinges are Rock Maple with hidden hinge pins…
Box joints were Scroll Saw cut, then filed to fit, and stopped Dadoes were cut in the sides to receive the Panels…
No glue was used except to set the hinges in place before pinning them in place with 1/8" dowel…
I added two Rare Earth magnets to keep the Lid closed and to stop it from rattling…
Got some good Fun out of building it and am Happy to add it as my first Project!
Hope MsDebbie approves! :)

I am sure that you will get MsDebbies approval. If not, you at least get mine.

Thank You my Friends!
Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, but I was off doing the Night Shift thing…
It was a Fun build, one of those rare few where everything falls right into place!
(Don’t you just love when that happens?)
Of course, it doesn’t hurt to have some great woods to work with either!

The wood looks great but if the woodworker doesn’t bring that beauty out, it is still just wood.
The choice of that wood and working it, to the orientation of the grain to create that “wow!” moment is what did. And you did it very well.
