Trampoline Stairs

My great granddaugher  has a trampoline and they have to  haul the picnic table over to it to get  on it. I told them I'd make them a set of stairs out of the old  treated deck wood that was removed from our deck.
I made the stringers out of some new treated wood because a 2x6 was not wide enough . I sorted out the old boards and took the best ones for this project. I probably over built it but it will be free standing and not connected to anything so I did not want it to be weak anywhere. All edges are radiused and Danny will be staining it the same color as their new shed which we just finished last month.
it is 36" high and 23" wide.

Grandpa to the rescue!

Hopefully they'll let you be the first to go for a test!

Jim That looks better than steps on some people’s homes. Nice job.

Yeah Splinter, it would be fun to watch Jim J. bounce. Don’t hurt yourself. We don’t want to hear. “I bounced up and I can’t get down.”

You can never overbuild when it's something kids will be using. nice sturdy build
I'm of the opinion that anytime anything is made for family members, it's a winner. Now, something for a great granddaughter that she needs will put you in her Hall Of Fame. I'm guessing the reward for this is lots of hugs & kisses, the most pleasurable part of the build. Nice work.
I'm sure this will be put to good use!
Thank you all for the nice comments.

Hi Tom, McKinlee can get to make most anything for her!!!!!!!!!! We're have our deck resurfaced with Trex  and she wanted me to build a slide from the deck  into the back yard. I had to turn her down on that one!!

. I had to turn her down on that one!!
You have more self control than Kenny!
Definitely a step up from having to use the picnic table (no pun intended).
Hi Bruce, I'd love to try out the trampoline but I damaged my right knee when I had to jump off a stepladder that collapsed while I was working on the shed. I did not break and roll because the ground was just dirt  so I landed standing. 2 weeks later I could not walk on it but the X Ray showed nothing is broken. I used to jump on a trampoline when I was in grade school. You rented time on the ones that were flush with the ground. We'd spend many hours on them so maybe again next year when I'm a fossil!
