Chip Carved Celtic Box

I haven’t anything new completed yet so I thought I’d share this box I made some time ago. I cut the box out on the scroll saw and chip carved a celtic design on the lid. The lid and sides of the box are mahogany and the bottom and inside the lid is yellow cedar. I enjoy working with celtic designs and am working on some jewelry pendants and stands at the minute. Hope to share those soon!

Very nice work.
Don’t you just love the smell of Yellow Cedar? It’s one of my all time favourites and one of the best boat building woods there is.

The early bird gets the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.

Intricate design on the top.

great work

Thank you Paul and Ian and yes Paul, I love the smell of yellow cedar! I love carving it.

Well done. Both the box, and the carving.
