This piece is called a Butsudan, which literally means ‘Buddhist Altar’ and was commissioned in secret by a gentleman who wanted to surprise his wife on her birthday. Made in exceptional curly Koa book matched veneer, with the interior Tansu made from Cypress, iron work hand forged in Israel, complete with a secret drawer and hidden compartment.
