Walnut box

An older box but one of my favorite ones. In now resides in NC. Hard to follow Rogers box. But this one is about the wood. What a gorgeous chunk of walnut it was. Problem with the cove is you have to look inside and hope you do not remove the good stuff. sometimes it works- sometimes it does not. This one did- I love making use of the sap wood.
General wipe on poly with wax buffed.

That’s really great.

You’ve used a gorgeous piece of wood to it’s best advantage. I agree on the sap wood: while it’s bad on a gunstock, it’s great on a box! Nice work.
