I just picked up my mail to find four copies of the latest Canadian Woodworking Magazine. It features an article I worte almost three years ago. I had forgotten all about it until I got a call last month.

Congrats Paul. You really deserve credit for all you have accomplished since taking up marquetry and the impact you have had on reviving interest in it among other woodworkers with your blogs and tutorials. Personally, I would like to see an article of your marquetry journey in Fine Woodworking.

Thanks Mike. I suppose it would be of interest to some but that’s not a story I would be likely to write myself if you know what I mean.

It would be a great break from furniture making. Fine woodworking was at one time devoted to all different kinds of woodworking, but has mainly specialized on furniture making articles for many years now. Very boring when they focus on one thing! That’s why I cancelled my subscription a long time ago.

Wonderful, Paul! Congrats! And, I also think you should submit that article to Fine Woodworking magazine!
