I finished the inside of the case along with the interior surfaces of the top and bottom. I taped off the edge where the glue line was. I ended up with 3 or 4 coats of Wipe on Poly, sanded between coats.
To ensure that the panels would be centered and not slip while I glued them on. I drilled a small piolet hole and used a short cut off nail to locate the holes needed for some small dowels, (Bamboo Skewers). that is above.
After glue up these were sanded to 320, given a coat of Danish Oil. Once dry started the process of applying teh Wipe on Poly, lost count of the coats, at least 7 though. The Pecan ones took a bit more to fill the grain.
As I mentioned eariler they were being built to hold a coffee grinder. I mounter the grinders and was able to call these done.

Ron, thanks. Something different for sure. I have experminted with different shaped boxes in the past. I have even been tossing the idea around of a round cylinder to mount one on. I just can't wrap my head around the drawer and how to make it yet.
