A new box design that I made using a jig on the table saw with a box joint cutter .
The panels are made from walnut with an 1/8" maple veneer laminated to the face side and trimmed with walnut .The tray is laminated walnut and maple with a brown velvet cloth liner as is the bottom and inside of the lid ,the hinges are solid brass and the lid stay will be a small ball chain when I find a brass one .
I am very happy the way this box design turned out and will follow it up with another but with a different pattern design .

Klaus,
Very very nice indeed. A very striking box with great details, and flawlessly executed. A winner in every way.

The boxes get prettier and prettier. To me it looks a bit oriental. Great craftsmanship Klaus.
