Daughter's Desk Build

I build this for my daughter. She came to me asking if i could make her a desk to do homework, makeup and doing her nails at. She gave me her idea and showed me some pictures of what she wanted. Well here it is. Walnut top and drawer faces. Knobs have walnut inlay. The main body is plywood with Ash legs.

Beautiful desk Jeff.

The combo matches pretty well. The top has a nice grain flow and I like the pull.

Great work!

Super looking desk Jeff.

The fact that the girl wanted a desk to do homework is impressive enough but, the job you did on the desk was and is fantastic. Simple and practical with some great style and looks. Excellent job.

Jeff,

The desk looks great! I hope she’ll spend more time studying at it than doing nails and makeup! LOL

Excellent, Your daughter must be so happy to have a dad that is a skilled woodworker. Love the pulls

Thank you to all of you . She loved it. I was going to make a matching chair however, she said she would use the little computer chair to sit on. That way i can concentrate on other projects. Lol i guess ill make it later and surprise her.

Wonderful desk Jeff I love that walnut top and drawer fronts that’s hard to find in my area, but no expense spared for a Princess.

Thank you Whitacrebespoke and Bob Ruane. It was a great project to do. At least she can take it with her when she leaves home. It should hopefully be used for grandkids if she has any. Lol I love walnut but at $7.00 a bdft i dont use it too much. It is a beautiful wood and a joy to work with. I have to say the daughter has good taste. Thank you
