Balcony with roof

Our cottage was built with balcony, but for some reason our architect didn’t design the roof. After 10 years, all the wooden beams were rotten and the balcony became dangerous to use. We decided to build new one with the roof.

Great job! You’re just missing a glass of wine on picture #3 :)

I have the camera in one hand and the glass of wine in second hand ;)

that is LOVELY … and what beautiful scenery to look at, as well.

Looks like a great place to hang out!

Is that where we have the “10000 user” milestone celebration?

It looks great!
With that kind of scenery surrounding it, you could work from home without feeling you ever worked.

Yup, you are all welcome to a 10 000 user milestone party :)

I’ll be there! You bring the wine, I’ll bring the cork screw. ;-)

Keifer is right. View or no view that is going to be the place to hang out rain or shine. My modest little backyard patio has an awning, nothing comparable to your setup in terms of how nice the space or the view, but it’s my little paradise where I spend more time than even the shop. Having a place to get out of the sun and the rain is priceless. You may even surprise yourself at how much time you spend there.

Michal,

That is an awfully nice deck but when all 10,000 of us come, you may need to rebuild it!

You are right Brian – sitting there and enjoying the views is really amazing. Everyone should have his own place to relax.
lightweightladylefty: That’s why I’m calling you, bunch of woodworkers, to rebuild it a little :))

Nice balcony extension and beautiful surroundings too. A great place to enjoy that glass of wind Martin mentioned.

I bet it is everyone’s favourite place to hang out, or have coffee, or just take in the view. Nice addition. Excellent joinery work, well done. You certainly have great woodworking skills.
