Well ladies and gentlemen im feeling much better again. And its Hammer time. Time to start making up time lost from being sick. First, I just wanted to thank you guys & gas for get well wishes and kind words. All of you are great! A great community. Thank you!
Well as I was lying around I didn’t get a chance to post any pictures but where im at. I finished all the face frames and instslled. I finished all the french cleats on the back and on the front. The french cleats on the front will hold my 23 ga pin nailer, 5/8" – 1 1/2/ 18 ga nailer and my crown stapler. I did make one section of the rear french cleat removable. This is for being to install the full extension rails for the pull out drawer and to maintain the guides.
I did get the blocking in for the drawer rails to get fasten to. But after doing so, I found out about Miller Fast Blocks. (Please see my blog on them) I am going to order a bag of theses because I have three more shop cabinets to make and five kitchen cabinets. These will aid in a much better looking and finish adjustments. I also bought the woodworkers vise with quick release and the door hinges and handles. And since I was shopping I bought more F style clamps total spent was just under $500.00.
I am going to be starting the raised panel doors next. Then adding the slots for the lag bolts to attach the top to the base. Then im going to finish the indide so afterwards i can install the rails and make the drawers. I will be making my drawers out of hard maple and hickory fronts.

I dont think you have enough clamps. Looking good.

Glad you are back in business.

Nice set of clamps. I was just telling my wife I need some more clamps:)

The workbench is looking good

TonyCan and Ianwater you never have enough clamps lol well March 13, 14, & 15th is the woodworkers show in West Allis, WI at the state fair park. Im looking for more deals on Jorgensen. So far Menards has everyone beat on prices. Grizzly is 2nd and Home Depot is third. Anyways im looking to invest into about 100 more at this time. Im looking for 4ft at least 30. 3 ft 15 more 2ft at least 28 the rest are 12 inch. Lol seriously about it. I need them to glue up my butcher block top for the bench. With all the clamps I have I have run out during glue ups. Nothing worse. Well thanks for the kind words. Be posting soon

It’s coming along nicely. It shows really well. The finished product is going to be great.

One question about the French cleats. They’re on the back, but doesn’t that side go against the saw? Will you be able to access them? Will this be on casters?

Losing fingers since 1969

Yes the bench is on casters and ill have access to everything on the french cleats. My top is going to hangover by 12 or so inches giveing me the reach access. Plus where it jogs in will give me more room.

Your outfit table/cabinet is going to be super useful Jeff. I really like your idea of having the French cleats on it. It also looks great, so wonderful work all around. Didn’t know you were sick, but glad you are better.
