This box is finally of my bench and on my dresser after a couple of month of looking at it and figuring out what it wanted to be . it started out with a deco design in mind but I just couldn’t make it work in this configuration so I just let it sit there .
It is made from a nicely figured piece of jatoba for the lid panel that caught my eye and tamarac which is a local wood that I just love .
As you can see from the picture it has several compartments and trays that should make it possible to store just about anything in this .
The interior is lined with a dark brown material and the tray lifts are a black cord .

The finish is BLO and a coat of bees wax to give it that beautiful smell .
Comments good or bad are always welcome .

It’s beautiful! Time well spent.
A real beauty of a box Klaus. Great wood choices too, they go so well together. I always like your unique and classy designs.

It’s Beautiful Klaus.
The wood combo is very nice. That figured Jatoba makes it shine even more.

Amazing!
Klaus,
I thought and thought and couldn’t think of anything “bad” except that it’s not mine! The box is beautiful.

Very nice design and exceptionally square, I’m sure, due to your ingenious mitre clamp! :-)
