Desert Gate

This is a gate that I built several years ago for the courtyard at our winter place in Az. It’s made from big box store redwood and was one of my first projects with my ShopSmith. It’s about seven years old now and is still in good shape despite the harsh desert conditions.

The early bird gets the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.

Now, that’s pretty neat. Perfect way to greet the desert.

Very cool Paul. Perfect for Arizona.

Beautiful and perfectly in tune with the environment. Now you just need some cowboy cantina doors. :-)

I love it! You sure weren’t going to find a door like that in any store. Sometimes you just have to make it yourself to get what you want.
