When I grow up, I want to be ….

I wonder: what would you be doing if you didn’t need money for living?
What is your dream job?

If you’d asked me as a child, race car driver would have probably been my most consistent answer. Right now, I’d say simply being a father. No other worries or obligations. Just being able to spend as much time with my boys as possible while they are still young.

I don’t want to grow up. I still feel like a little kid at 66 and I have been having entirely too much fun doing what I love to do and enjoying life…!

Life had a different design for me.
I am now dreaming my son would be one.

Getting to be a theme here MsDebbie but for me, wood boat building….and when I retired, building my own boat and taking up fine woodworking.
I often say I have never “worked” a day in my life.

-- The early bird gets the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.

With complete and utter surprise I find myself now doing what I’ve always dreamed of, rebuilding an old cottage and my commute is across the lane to my workshop.
